Survival Edge Tactical Systems, Inc is a police and military training company that works congruently with the Pekiti Tirsia Tactical Association (PTTA) in teaching TRICOM Courses around the world. Since 2004 we have taught in 26 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Australasia, the Middle East, North and South America.

The TRICOM modules (TRI-ANGLE COMBATIVES) are the result of 34 years of martial arts experience coupled with 18 years of experience teaching police and military Defensive Tactics and Combatives programs. Based on tactics of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali and supplemented with various striking and grappling disciplines, the TRICOM modules have been taught to Special Operations and Instructors from police and military units across the US and allied countries. This three-day Instructor Certification course covers several general Defensive Tactics techniques, tactics and procedures that are common to all of the various TRICOM Modules.

The goal of this course is not to avoid “martial arts” techniques, but to analyze what martial artists have learned from centuries of trial and error, and hand pick the methodology and principles that have the highest probability of success for the average law enforcement officer or soldier who is often neither a martial artist, nor has the opportunity to train on a regular basis.

The instructor for this course, Jared Wihongi, world renown Close Quarters Combat Instructor. He is a student of multiple martial arts and combatives systems, but specializes in the edged/impact weapon based combat arts of the Philippines. He has 18 years of experience in law enforcement (both full-time and Reserve), 15 of which has been working on SWAT Teams and as a Use-of-Force Instructor.
